on a hot juliday for lunch, as there is a beautiful brise and it goes off the main roads. very attentive service from the young man, but as larger groups arrived, he was very busy. large 12 pizzas served within 10 minutes. but. they were slightly underused and greasy; but we have lacked the Italians to ask them to end them appropriately expensive. Attentive and efficient waiting staff and delicious food. we had pizzas, pasta and one of the daily specialties, the deep fried courgette bags. really amazing. no 5 stars because the toilets were not as clean and neat as they could be. it is worth looking in this quiet piazza.
Spent 2 weeks in Lucca and the quality of the eateries in this beautiful town is outstanding. Had lunch with friends at his trattoria one sunday and it was my favourite meal, simply outstanding. I tried the trippa and the roast lamb with potatoes ..just perfect. Drinks are good prices, as is the food. Tried to go back a couple of times but it is hard to find them open! Seriously delicious, do try this little trattoria by the carpark!
