Great food and prices are amazing. The complete dinner with rice and fish is about 25k. Fish penny sauce is something I tried and enjoyed very much. The amount is more than enough for just one person.. It's also a river seat.

A hidden gem restaurant in Luangprabang. Located on the edge of the peninsula. Serve authentic Lao food and has its own original menu. I recommend you to try Jaew Kee Pla with his name means fish poop, but it is actually fish roe cooking with herbs and oil. Perfect to eat with sticky rice and vegetables. Very recommended for this menu that I had for dinner and makes me want to come back to eat again the next day. Very reasonable price. Basic menu is about 2 USD and for menu with Mekong river are a little more expensive, but still very reasonable.

Not sure how this place receives only 3 views!!! We found this from a YouTube video, and if we are there, there is a really simple menu English strange translation on it, and there are only 1 table local ppl eating there. Compared to most other river view restaurants, it is so low key, and not busy at all. We hesitated until we saw that a local woman ordered the recording, we decided to give an attempt. We ordered exactly what she ordered: fish soup, minced fish salad, minced chips. We also decided to order Papaya salad and basil shrimp. All dishes are a great success!!!! It is not touristic, not fantastic as some restaurants in the city. But it is one of the best meals we had!!! You just have to do better marketing!

Mark Wiens brought me here! The Jau is really delicious when paired with the sticky rice. The shrimps absolutely sweet and fresh with additional bonus of roe! Portions are very hearty and definitely better divided. The owner(? /staff looks fierce, but was actually so friendly, he taught me how to eat the fish salad properly with the salad leaves and bothered to change my dish when it is too dirty with the jau and shrimp haha. Great place!

Amazing Lao food. The two of us ordered the fish soup, minced fish and the fish penny sauce. With a beer and rice we paid 110k in total, which is totally worth it as the portions are very big! This meal could be easily shared by 3 persons. Additionally you have a view on the Mekong river and it is super quite!
