I have visited this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. I love all the employees and the great service they provide. What Randy Johnson doesn't like about Golden West Saloon:
The bartender was rude and had a $107 bar tab that I was told would be charged to my card when I checked in. She later said they couldn't do that. I was disappointed overall with the experience and will never go back. The $240 I spent was not worth it. I love this restaurant. I have been staying there on and off for many years. We usually go to fish at Davis Lake and then return to the restaurant for delicious food, relaxation, and great atmosphere.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent! I had the most delicious burger there today!
I believe I need to return to California to work at Golden West Dining, where I learned a lot about restaurant cooking from an amazing chef.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem due to road closures. Tom and his wife kindly opened their doors after hours to provide us with drinks and a place to relax, treating us like family. The Golden West Saloon is impeccably clean, showing Tom's pride as the owner. He impressed us with his knowledge of the area and offered great recommendations. This original gold rush tavern offers cold beer, good liquor, and exceptional hospitality. I will definitely be returning to Loyalton just to visit THE Golden West Saloon!
