I was really craving some delicious fried clams but didn’t have the energy to drive to the coast. So, I searched for the best fried clams in Lowell and came across Captain John’s. I can’t believe I hadn’t discovered this hidden gem sooner! Everything was fantastic, even the coleslaw! They get fresh seafood from Boston every morning, and it truly shows in the quality of the food. View all feedback.

Captain John's is semi divided into two separate places. One is to dine in and the other is the bar. They have keno and music playing with tvs. Our waitress was unseen for 20 minutes after we were seated. Luckily another lady took over and she was the best! This place is a real hole in the wall with great service and surprisingly great seafood! Prices are unheard of for what you get great Value ! My sister and grown son loved it ,wish I got our waitress name short haired woman who was very professional and excellent at being sure we had everything we needed .ive met the owner in the past as well and he’s a great guy ! Fun place to go Wheelchair accessibility: My husband is handicap and had no trouble getting in
