Great place to stop by during the summer! Lots of good ice cream and shakes. I love chocolate shakes and there's are very good they also have the absolute best orange sherbet! The hotdogs are very good as well. Nice place to stop by well walking your dog and grab some ice cream! Definitely stop by when they open back up! View all feedback.

What Steven Emerson dislikes about Ball's Softee Creme:
Many times we would go here and the place was closed even though it was during open hours. They don’t take debit cards but have an ATM on site and charge you huge fees so make sure you have cash with you. Not the best customer service. They block the sidewalk with employees cars on Jefferson St. This place seems highly overpriced and overrated, it is just a typical ice cream place. View all feedback.

Nestled a few blocks from downtown, Ball's Softee Cream has been a beloved community staple since the 1970s. Known for its exceptional soft-serve, the restaurant offers a menu that shines with items like chili cheese hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, both of which receive rave reviews. Diners can enjoy their treats in a beautiful garden setting, creating a delightful al fresco experience. While the eatery operates on a cash-only basis—with an ATM conveniently on-site—visitors agree that the quality of food, friendly service, and hearty portions make it well worth the trip.

It has a pretty name (balls softee cream lol), but the ice here is excellent. in summer long lines are expected. it is one of lowell's long-term family business. highly recommended.

Excellent quality and fast friendly service. The best quality soft-serve. The gardens around the tables outside is always beautiful! Beware that they are cash only if you prefer plastic, atm on site.

There are two places in Lowell for a tasty ice cream treat. Ball's is on the east end of town. I live closer to Ball's, and they are open every day. I'm not a diabetic, but I try to limit my sugar. Ball's Dole Whip does the trick. It has consistency like blended ice rather than the creaminess of ice cream.

Can't go wrong. Been a great place to indulge...not only ice cream dishes but also pulled BBQ sandwiches for YEARS. And my waistline proves it.

Highly overrated. Staff is rude and parks on sidewalks. Only takes cash. Go to Culver's they are open year round, locally owned and takes cards.

The prices at this restaurant are fantastic, and the food and drinks are delicious! I would highly recommend it to anyone. Their chili cheese hot dogs are the best - and I don't even like hot dogs!

I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a child. They have the most delicious ice cream and friendly staff. I have yet to find a lemon custard that can rival theirs, and I have tried many.
