We will caveat this by saying that we were here with a fixed menu for New Year’s Eve — but nevertheless, the food is a throwback in time to the age of 3 types o... read more We will caveat this by saying that we were here with a fixed menu for New Year’s Eve — but nevertheless, the food is a throwback in time to the age of 3 types of smoked salmon and heavy French cream sauce. The venue is similarly adorned, with stone, dark wood and low ceilings, which undoubtedly rang of “authenticity” in their day. I suspect this venue already has its loyal crowd and couldn’t care less what I say….
