Calistoga Bakery Cafe

When looking at Calistoga's menu, it is a complete replica of Panera. That's where the similarity ends. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup and a Grilled chicken sandwich. The Chicken Tortilla soup was the texture and taste of a chili and wasn't very good didn't even finish it. And for the sandwich, the panini wasn't grilled, so the bread wasn't the best and there was an overabundance of pesto piled on the sandwich which wasn't very good. I took the chicken off and ate that. Needless to say I hardly ate my meal and had to grab something else after I left.

This is a new entry in the soup-salad-sandwich arena and it is REALLY good. They have all kinds of delicious food and their bread is AMAZING! They also do breakfast, but I haven't ordered that yet. I am in love with the Ahi Salad and the Hot Pastrami sandwich, and my friends all love the California Cobb Salad. All of their food is super-fresh and they even cater and deliver. It is a little expensive (around $8-$9 for most items), but the portions are big and the food is sooooo good!
