Show Me the Shoney's!!! After failing to follow wife's pancake recipe twice, it was time to enjoy it elsewhere. The jovial crew- Ann, Camillia, Corey, Cruz, Denise, Stephon, and Theo. These folks were all in with the smiles and lending hands... creating a cozy, mom and pop shop feel. The foods were hot and fresh. An attendant continually wiped down the bar. Located right off 65 and Fern Valley Rd exit.
IMHO y'all missing a great deal of comfort food at Shoney's. I visited this location close to the airport SDF. Upon arrival and all the way to leaving staff was friendly professional quick and attentive but not overwhelming. They let you eat peacefully and enjoy your meal. Today was senior Tuesday, which means the AYCE buffet is at discounted price for everyone not just seniors! I went because I wanted a salad bar....but as you can see I enjoyed some fried chicken that was juice and crunchy. Plus a few other things. This is a great deal! Drink is included! Not sure why it is not fully packed on Tuesdays at the very least. The place is clean, parking is easy and with a buffet you get to eat very quickly. Grandpa takes care of business as does his whole team. I know I will be there often for the salad bar Please tip your sever accordingly. They keep the place inviting for all of us. I almost didn't want to write all the good things because then it will get packed lol.
First and foremost, the atmosphere is always warm, family friendly. We usually go on Wednesday for the all day breakfast buffet. Once again it didn't disappoint.
The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet that is absolutely delicious. They refresh the food every 10 minutes, ensuring that there are no empty trays. I would definitely return. It is quite busy, so be prepared to wait for a table.
We had an exceptional experience with Jessie, who provided outstanding service and was incredibly friendly. The buffet was excellent, featuring hot, fresh dishes. We loved that we could enjoy both breakfast and brunch items at the buffet. It's available from 7 AM to 3 PM but closed on Mondays. Overall, a fantastic visit!
