Enjoy a selection of kabobs, vegetarian stews and lambcocks. The lamb was very well cooked and the pomegranate/walnut stew was incredibly delicious, but something missed in the way to finish the taste. Baklava was very tasty and I would recommend the ice cream for a way to complete your meal with saffron, rose and pistachios. Was quite hungry when the food came, so I forget to grab some pictures, but the others here are very true for the quality of the meal. Enjoy this place a lot and hope to be back soon!
I'm ashamed I've never reviewed this gift in downtown Louisville. Saffron has an inconvenient appearance and you have probably passed it many times without knowing it, but read this review and immediately proceed there if you are looking for great food and looking in the city center. The interior is very welcoming, the mood is relaxed and the service is impeccable. You can have a small wait for the food, enjoy yourself with company, diving wine, Persian coffee, a cocktail or just water while enjoying the free vegetables and Pita bread until your food arrives. It is absolutely worth waiting any insignificant. The food is simply amazing - it must be experienced, words can't do justice. Make sure to complicate the cook, he is a humble and friendly man who makes amazing work and deserves every compliment.
The food is great, but the desserts are really excellent. The homemade ice cream and the baklava should not be missed! The atmosphere is casual, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.
We love to eat Middle Eastern and had to check saffron. decided to try it on a Sunday. it was easy to reach both with metered street parking and with non-sized parkings behind the building. it had customers, but wasn't packed so we got a table right away that was nice. the waiter was friendly, helpful and efficient. he brought a free pallet cleaning plate of greens, radishes, gurke and feta with a thin tearable brot to the table. some restaurants have menus that go on forever. saffron has a beautiful variety without being overwhelming. we ordered two appetizers the chilled spinat and the watch. the spinach was good, the quail was great. for the main course for various dishes were ordered; chicken meat barkabs, filet ground bark kebabs, seafood stew and a spinat bark dish. all came with jasmin or basmati rice, grilled vegetables and a middle eastern salad. the dishes were arranged artistically and a joy to eat! we all shared around the table and everything was wonderful. the chicken kebabs with Persian seasonings were tasteful and delicate. the meeress stew was a delicate balance of seasoning, which made the meeress themselves taste. the two bark dishes were tender and tasty. we ordered all three desserts and although I personally were not a big fan of chocolate, ice or baklava they were all very good. they can only catch wisely on the rose water and saffron in the ice. the baklava is not too sweet, as I find it is at most places. the chocolate bomb is tender, rich, but not too sweet again, as I find it in most places. saffron’s is a restaurant where I like to go back and explore the menu further. oh, and either there was no music in the backrooms or it was in a band where it did not hit our conversation. this is a huge plus!
This restaurant had a nice atmosphere and great food. The waitress was friendly and sociable. The appetizers could be kicked up a couple notches it felt like it was an after thought. Overall enjoyed it and will definitely be back again.
