Super cool spot! Quality about quantity here. Definitely enough to eat. My wife got a bunless burger who had bacon and cheddar cheese. She really liked it. I have the hot wings. Great surprise. They were smoked and had a really good chili lime sauce. We shared a sequence of spits. They also make a great cocktail and have a pretty cool menu for ordering drinks based on if you want sweet, salty, sour or savory. Our wai... View all feedback.
What Sydney B doesn't like about Milkwood:
We were looking for a place to eat before seeing a play and luckily Milkwood was actually below the place we were going to. Milkwood is known for their Ramen but since I try to avoid Ramen we went with the wings. They were good however it felt like there was not enough meat on them so it was a little disappointing. The prices are fair and we got our food quick. It's not my first place to go to but if someone else wan... View all feedback.
What a fantastic place! The focus here is definitely on quality over quantity, but there's still plenty to eat. My wife ordered a bunless burger topped with bacon and cheddar cheese, and she loved it. I opted for the hot wings, which were a pleasant surprise—they were smoked and came with a delicious chili lime sauce. We also shared a selection of skewers, which were excellent. They serve great cocktails, and I really enjoyed their unique drink menu that lets you choose based on whether you prefer sweet, salty, sour, or savory flavors. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. I would definitely return if I'm ever back in Louisville. Give it a try!
When you look at the menu of milkwood, they will notice their crisp for the mix sweet, sour, savory, spicy and salty throughout their entire menu, from cocktails to dessert. the restaurant was an experience to say the least. louisville, ky has really great culinary heads at work, and milkwood is probably one of the most remarkable games for it. our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the experience was incredible from top to bottom.
The restaurant has a decent bar area for drinks, though the dining space is on the smaller side. It’s wise to check if there is a show at the nearby theater or if it’s a busy weekend night, as it seems to attract a crowd regularly. Milkwood's website offers a reservation system that’s very straightforward. During my visit with my family of six, the atmosphere was quite relaxed, with only a few other patrons dining at the same time, so we were seated and served promptly. Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend this restaurant to both travelers and locals. If you're interested in a show at the Actors Theatre, you can make a full evening out of it by dining at Milkwood before or after the performance. I hope your experience is as delightful as mine was!
Why can't I give a place six stars? That was one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Super friendly staff and amazing food come together to make an unforgettable experience. The cocktails and the food were imaginative without being gimmicky. Asian food with a southern flair or South food with an Asian flair? I don't care to give me more!
First time at Milkwood though I hope it won't be the last. Our waiter, Brian, was super-friendly and helpful, especially with my boyfriend's gluten allergy. I didn't like my first cocktail so he exchanged it for a glass of wine at no charge. The food was excellent, with small but flavourful portions. Everything was cooked just right. The cocktail menu is interesting in the sense that it shows you the taste (bitter, sweet, etc) for each drink. Overall a great experience and definitely worth the price.
