Despite a lack of menu cohesion, the restaurant's atmosphere is cool and the service is helpful and attentive. However, some issues with the food were noted - including undercooked burgers and a lackluster chocolate chip cookie dessert. On the positive side, the restaurant's smoked meats, ribs, and side dishes received high praise, earning it a reputation as one of the best BBQ places around. The spacious restaurant can accommodate both small and large groups, and offers a range of food and drink options beyond barbecue. Overall, Doc Crow's is a must-visit spot in Louisville, especially for those craving high-quality meats and fantastic sauce.
Came in with a buddy, both of us from out of town. Great atmosphere and people watching from window booths. Started with the peel and eat shrimp which were great. Nice size and great seasonings! Moved on the the smokehouse sampler with ribs, brisket, and pork. The baby back ribs were phenomenal. Perfectly fall off the bone, and the dry rub was addictive. The brisket and pulled pork were also good but the ribs take the cake. For sides I had the baked beans, cheddar grits, and cornbread. The cornbread was perfect and I’ve never had better cheddar grits, super creamy, tender and well seasoned. I would def return for the ribs, grits, and cornbread. <br/
Omg. Had shrimp app hot, house salad and pulled pork sand. All fantastic and would order exactly the same again. Ribs also stellar!!! Need to figure out the ice cubes in there drinks. My Bluegoose soda was so water down from the melted ice not worth it.
Went here with colleagues today. The order was taken within minutes after we sat down which was nice. Mint Julep with pomegranate juice was yum! I ordered the Catfish platter. It was like fish and chips, but catfish. The fish was delicious. My friends too a bunch of other things. The coleslaw was terrible though. I like the ambience
After a long 10-hour drive a nice dinner was needed. Doc Crow's in Kentucky. The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff was very friendly. I just wanted the smoker club sandwich. My only complaint with the sandwich was that I ordered it with the house chips and got Fritten. The pommes were crisp and hot, but not what I wanted with my sandwich so I didn't eat them. To dessert, I chose the chocolate chip cookies. Not everything I expected and I love chocolate chip cookies. If you have ever eaten C-rations, the cookies lubricated as if they simply came out of the can. Not my darling. Disappoint.
10 out of five stars! Had the baby back ribs and several adult drinks! I had the black widow and swore right cocktail, phenomenal! The baby back ribs and macaroni was also phenomenal, would highly recommend this place! So many different types of bourbons and whiskey as well!
