The atmosphere and location are fantastic. I tried the cauliflower sloppy joe with fries and enjoyed it so much that I returned the next night for the sloppy joe tacos. I would have rated them 5 stars if there were more options on the menu. View all feedback.
What along112 doesn't like about Against The Grain:
This place had a cool atmosphere, being downtown and at the Louisville slugger field. I asked the server what specific vegan options they had and they had 3 things: a vegan chili, a beyond bratwurst, and beyond sloppy faux sandwich. We got the bratwurst, which were nothing special, but we were happy to see a veg option in a brewery. View all feedback.
Basically only for the the burger but at least they have something for vegans. Cheers!
The mushroom burgers and brussel sprouts are devine
It’s a nice place and the staff are great. A few vegan options, marked clearly. I got the Dirty Vegan, which includes the Beyond Meat patty and faux cheese, as well as a housemade sauce. Had to say I was dissapointed, it was super salty. This place is the place to be right before a Louisville City soccer game, so be warned that it gets and stays packed around these times.
Pretty disappointed. When I lived in Louisville/Cincinnati a few years ago, I came here frequently with friends. They had some vegan nachos, and a handmade veggie burger that was excellent, and really a ton of quality vegan options on the menu. Recently, I was in town visiting family and we decided to stop by. Unfortunately, in the years since, they have completely changed their menu. They have removed most all of the vegan options, and now only have a Beyond Meat burger and a vegan bean chili. Vegetarians may not be as disappointed, there are quite a few items marked vegetarian, but I can’t comment on them. Also, their pricing has changed. All entrees are now served without sides so you have to order them separately, and frankly, I didn’t think the quality warranted the pricing. I wouldn’t go again myself, but if I was with a group of family or friends that weren’t vegan/vegetarian, maybe we’d stop by, if we couldn’t find another place.
Certainly not what it used to be. Menu changed as of two days ago. Only chili specifically marked vegan.
