We sampled several baked goods, and they were quite delicious. The front counter offers a clear view into the kitchen, allowing you to watch the pastry chefs at work while you choose from the items on display. Although the bakers practice frequent hand washing, they do not wear gloves while kneading the dough. I understand the need for bare hands when it comes to folding and rolling pastry, as I often rely on my own sense of touch in the kitchen. However, the absence of gloves made Raz a bit uneasy since there isn't a dedicated server or cashier. That said, the strudel is absolutely worth any potential concern; it's the best I've ever had. I believe the red berries were cherries, and I'm not sure what was mixed into the sweet cream, but I've been dreaming about it for weeks. We attempted to return for more last Sunday, only to discover that, despite an online listing of Sunday hours, Mas is actually closed on Sundays. I'm not completely discouraged, and it's not too far from my daily route, so I'm hopeful I can stop by for more strudel during the week...
