Service was excellent, with every dish nicely paced. My partner and I had the pane which is some of the best bread I've ever had, as it has a garlicy flavor, flaked salt, and plenty of olive oil in the best way. Next was the squash blossoms, which were filled with some cheese and very good. The cauliflower gratin was incredible, along with the mushroom pizza, full of excellent flavors. We finished off with a caramel... View all feedback.
What Joel Blattner doesn't like about Pizzeria Mozza:
The food was very good, but extremely slow. We were asked to order the full meal ahead for the kitchen to time the preparation yet we waited over 20 minutes for the first course (which was bread) and then about 30 minutes between finishing each course and the next one arriving. No explanation or apologies provided, even when we asked about it. Even though the staff seemed a bit frantic, the service at the table was a... View all feedback.
We live very close to the Newport Beach location and love the food. However, $13 charger for Valet parking is out of line especially since there is no other option for free parking. Why don’t you add a bit to each menu item to allow you to lower your valet fee. We would come much more frequently if I didn’t feel overcharged for your valet parking. Service: Dine in
Very good pizza under the stewardship of celebrity chef Nancy Silverton (check out her Chef’s Table episode on Netflix for some backstory! . This is more a petition to make some of their seasonal/temporary specials more permanent. This includes the Burrata and Leek appetizer, and the Cacio e Pepe pizza. They were both delicious!!! Wow, so disappointed. my husband and I have historically loved this place but tonight was just a huge disappontment. first we had the tricolore salad and it was so heavily dressed and overly anchovy flavored that it was inedible. we sent it back and then noticed that the table next to us ordered it and after a bite sent it back too. then we had the sweet potatoes. we 've had them before and they were delicious but tonight they were hard (not fully cooked) and dry. then we had the honey squash pizza and the squash wasn 't cooked properly. it was crunchy and raw. then we had the radiatore pasta. we sent it back because it was so charred on top that it was hard and inedible. we asked to speak to the manager and were treated like we didn 't understand hat Nancy was going for a rustic vibe. I mean if by rustic you mean carcinogenic then I guess we just don 't get it, you 're right!
This is a Los Angeles staple. There is a wine room that's really cute and then the main dining area. We got the pizza ends. This is the only thing we would pass on next time. They are good little bites to dip the sauce in but the real appetizer that had us were the meatballs. Hands down would get the meatballs again. Savory and delicious. The sauce for the meatballs was nice and hearty versus the pizza end sauce that was creamier. The pizza is phenomenal. Thin (but not watery) and the crust was crispy but soft inside. Asked for a side of tomato sauce to dip the crust in and that's definitely the big brain move. Had the Carmel Copetta and oh my word. Delicious. A peanut butter, marshmallow, ice cream dream. Definitely get! Recommend a reservation as this place gets busy. The service was phenomenal. Not only was our waitress lovely but all the way down the line to the bus boys everyone was so attentive. Hadn't had service like that in a long time. Street parking in the neighborhood just read all the signs to be safe.
