VALUE QUALITYWhile most area restaurants have bloated their prices shrunk their portions, Fabrocini's has become a solid busy place for locals with excellent family style Italian classics. Our group shared some xlnt dishes. Starting off with tasty garlic bread Chianti moving to Veal Parmigiana, Sausage Peppers, Veal Piccata.. everything was splendid. The place is a bit noisy bustling so don't go expecting a mellow ro... View all feedback.
What Lenny R doesn't like about Fabrocinis Italian Kitchen:
Had take-out dinner for 4 (take-out) and the food was pretty good and it was hot. We had chicken marsala (4 stars), ravioli with pink sauce (4 stars), a calzone with meatball (3 stars because it needed extra sauce) and fettuccini alfredo (2 stars, very bland). The bread was good as usual. View all feedback.
Great neighborhood feel. Nothing fancy on the inside. Enjoyed an antipsasto salad and had the penne Diane
My lunch pals and I enjoyed our meals very much. All 12 of us.
Excellent Italian Food. Since moving from the east coast I have been looking for an Italian restaurant that knows how to prepare Veal Parmagean. Most restaurants in LA, except the extremely expensive ones use chopped veal. It was a pleasure to find a neighborhood restaurant that uses real veal and pounds it thin. In addition they serve pasta, and for a mere $5.00 extra they will add what they call broken shrimp. This is a misnomer. The shrimp are whole and medium sized, and they give you a large amount. All in all, this is a pleasurable dining experience.
I'm torn between telling you just how fabulous Fabrocini's is, and keeping it all to myself. This probably comes from a selfish sense of entitlement because I've been a returning customer for many years, going way back to a time when they were a fraction of the size with two or three tables. Back in the day the kitchen was larger than the dining room. It was quite a hole in the wall. They've grown a little since then but the food has remained the same simple, and strikingly delicious. Two gems: the scampi and the chicken ravioli.
No nonsense Italian food. We enjoyed our meal. Will go again.Vegetarian options: Many menu items are vegetarian. Not much for vegans but I am sure they can handle requests.
