I?ve been coming back to this place for 5 years because I love it so much! I moved away from the area and I still drive back just to come to Chico?s. Everything is super fresh and flavorful, as well as reasonably priced. My favorites are the guacamole and fried fish tacos. An unassuming joint with friendly service and high quality food!
I visited this restaurant first for tacos, and I was impressed by the reasonable prices, flavorful salsa, and tender chicken. On my second visit, I came in on a chilly day for pozole, and it was incredibly delicious. They offered me extra spices and chopped oregano to add some extra flavor. This is truly a solid Mexican restaurant in NELA. The service was humble and friendly, and the vintage interior gave it an old-school charm. It’s a cool local spot with a lot of character and great food. Overall, I had an authentic Highland Park experience!
The food here is absolutely delicious, and there are fantastic vegan options available as well. I would strongly recommend Chico's restaurant!
Do not eat here. I got vicious food poisoning from the fish tacos. They clearly are not following proper hygiene standards. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend
Chico's is an absolute gem! The food is amazing and so is service. The guacamole was top notch, must order. The Pico de Gallo is fresh, a little smokey and medium spicy. This cute little spot has street art on the outside and is right up the block from the Food4Less on Fig. They've got vegetarian options like the tacos de papas which are super delicious. The Fiesta Esalada is great and huge. Excellent choice for dine in or take out! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
