We also sampled the chicken curry, fried fish (Rhui), mixed vegetable curry, and the parathas, which were impressively large. We left feeling completely satisfied and even had plenty of leftovers for lunch the following day. I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant because it has been a staple for so long, but unfortunately, it just didn't meet my expectations. The okra was tough and fibrous, making it almost inedible—definitely a sign it was overripe before cooking. The daal was overly watery, salty, and lacked flavor. Aladin Sweets Market, which is one of Ani P.’s favorite Bangladeshi eateries, is divided into three distinct sections. A canteen-style lunch counter brimming with goodness greets patrons as they walk through the front door. The prepared foodstuffs here
Best Paya in California my uncle told me about this place and now I drive there from Irvine once a month or so to get a few large orders for my mom and brother and my family people are friendly as well. They also have good halal duck and fish that you can only get from Bangladesh just like my uncle used to make.
3/12/23: Beef kala bhuna is excellent. I ordered it with paratha. Okra is decent but I prefer Indian okra stir fried and crispy and this one was soft and steamed it seems.
Authentic and cozy Bangladeshi market and restaurant. The space has a tremendous amount of love and pride put into it! We had mutton curry, chicken curry, dal, paratha and fresh mango lassi. Will return!Food: 5/5
