I came here with my family and fiance. My aunt picked this place for dinner and I'm glad she did. The food was really good. The atmosphere was quiet and chill for it being a Tuesday evening. What User doesn't like about Senor Fish:
So we went in because we were looking for seafood. The restaurant looks good and we were immediately welcomed. Unfortunately they had no mojarra frita (footfish). We asked for something else and they didn't. We got Tacos and my husband tried the Burrito. It was good, but not great. I ordered takeout and tried the mahi mahi taco, fried fish taco, and shrimp ceviche. Unfortunately, the mahi mahi in the taco was quite dry and the guacamole on the fried fish taco was not fresh, it was on the brown side. The shrimp ceviche was okay, but could have used a bit more lemon. Fortunately, there is parking available in the back, which is convenient considering how limited parking can be in Echo Park.
Wow...portions are gigantic! Priced well too! Food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Not real busy when I visited but the size of the restaurant looks like it can handle a decent crowd.Kid-friendliness: My grandkids were treated like royalty! Really appreciate that.
This place has turned into a real dump! If you are in the area they do have $3 beers however during happy hour.Food: 3/5
A little rough looking on the exterior but the food is so good! Especially their veggie enchiladas. Depending on how you like your beans they have the option or doing regular or refried. I get refried they are super bomb! The salsa verde is amazing. When fam or friends are in the area and want Mexican food I always recommend Señor fish, and it's always complimented as a great suggestion!
Consistent with the Senor Fish in Eagle Rock. Solid tacos. Lovely service. Windows are covered so it’s got a real bunker vibe. The micheladas are huge ?
