After trying to locate a fish and chip shop in the area, we discovered Dave’s Diner, and it turns out my grandad has been coming here for years without ever being disappointed! The fish was fresh, and the fish cake was delicious. The prices were very reasonable for Looe. I will definitely return on my next visit!

The cod was incredibly fresh and moist, and the batter was perfectly crispy. The homemade mushy peas were the best I’ve ever had, and the homemade tartar sauce was both crispy and delightful. I will definitely be making the 600-mile round trip again!

The fish and chips are freshly cooked to perfection, and there’s also a great dessert menu. They offer locally sourced fish on the menu as well. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere full of character, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's definitely a must-visit spot during our time in Looe.

Since it was during COVID restrictions, they were only offering takeaway, and I thought they managed social distancing very well, given the small size of the establishment. Only one customer was allowed inside at a time, after which you would wait around the corner for your order to be ready. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the quality of the food was impressive. Later in the week, we had chips from a fish and chip shop, and we all agreed that Dave's Diner's chips were superior. The menu had a great variety, and the prices were very reasonable.
