this place is great! here is what I had. first come the spiced chips with salsa. they are better than most chips I had. then they bring out the best tortillas I had and there is butter and honey already on the table. I ordered the garnel and chicken Fajitas and they were phenomenal! I would certainly recommend this place. the service was also great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Papacita's:
I ordered a relleno that was over way over fried or was cooked in old grease. The cheese quesadilla was awful. The cheese tasted like flour or no taste. But the dessert made it all better!! The chips could be better also. It's been a long time since I was here, before covid. I would hesitate to return (except for the brownie dessert! View all feedback.
Fast forward to December 30th, 2023, my girlfriend and I had another really nice experience at Papacitas restaurant. We arrived around 9:30 PM and chose to sit at the bar, as there weren’t many customers at that time. We caught the thrilling final minutes of the Cowboys game against the Lions, which ended with Dallas winning 20-19! I ordered the chimichanga with ground beef, while my girlfriend had the steak shrimp fajitas. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our food came out quickly. By the time our entrees arrived, we had almost filled up on flour tortillas, chips, and hot sauce. We took a few bites of our meals and ended up boxing the rest for a late-night snack at home. My girlfriend ordered a margarita, adding mango for an extra $2, making the total for the drink $16, which seemed a bit pricey to me. But since my queen deserves whatever she wants, it was worth it! I stuck to a Dr. Pepper. The total bill for our meal came to $58, and I left a $15 tip, happy to show my appreciation because the food and service truly deserve it. I still highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
This bustling, spacious restaurant in Longview usually has a short wait time. While the food isn't top-notch, it's hard to find any five-star Mexican options in Longview. The staff is plentiful, so the service is quite good! I would definitely return if I’m in the mood for Mexican food.
Among all the Mexican restaurants I've experienced, this one stands out as my favorite. It's definitely one of the things I miss most about living in Longview, Texas! Additionally, the paprika-covered chips are incredible—if you haven't tried them yet, you have to come here just for those!
Food was very good. As was my strawberry daiquiri. Has a beautiful interior with a waterfall and a beautiful wide staircase to the second floor. plenty of seating
This place seems to get talked bad about the food being bland by the some people but their always busy. The chips are amazing. The salsa was good but has been better in years past. some one probably isn't sticking to the recipe) But to anyone talking about the food when I think Mexican food I think fajitas and if you order the mesquite steak fajitas you will be amazed or you don't like mesquite or fajitas in my opinion. The grilled shrimp are excellent but I have had them brought to the table under cooked I believe because they expect the sizzling hot plate to finish cooking them but they need to be cooked in the kitchen not on the table. But for the most part this place is consistent great seating. The high ceiling keeps the noise level down for the amount of people that are in there making ordering and table conversion much nicer. Servers are always nice. The food for the most part is usually correct. I order double sour cream but it usually isn't but they get it to me asap so thats no big deal. This is one of the best things to represent my hometown Longview Tx
