What chris sternagel doesn't like about Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse And Sushi:
Showed up for 50 off on sushi , per current website and was told not Wednesday now it's Thursdays. At a minimum they need to update website. There seem to be multiple websites online and they need to update all. They weren't apologetic either, just matter-of fact about it. Never been that impressed with their food anyway. Not sure we'll gi back even for their 50 off Thursday or whatever day it now is!!!. View all feedback.
I took my husband to try this place and it was the worst decision I made. As soon as we walk in it doesn’t look sanitary. There is a lot of spider webs and the tables are sticky. We ordered chicken terroyakee and beef teriyakee and it was nkt good! The quality of the meat tasted like it was premade frozen meat. The texture was weird it was not good quality meat. If the prices are expensive I expect good food. The sauce on the meat did not taste like teriyakee. It was very sweet and thick. It had a different taste. The fried rice did not have egg or vegetables. It tasted like rice with butter and tasted like left over rice. The rice was salty and hard to eat. I spent over $100. It was not worth it. Panda Express is better. The chicken teriyakee from there is wayyy better and looks like fresh chicken not like the one served at Kyoto. Longview Location.
I ate at Kyoto with my bestie on 8/24/24. I had a HUGE spicy crunchy roll. It was the best roll I've had yet! Yum! Great place to eat, socialize, take clients (if you have clients), have your birthday, take your family!! Great restaurant! Dietary restrictions: My friend has to have gluten free and dairy free, and they definitely hook her up.
We were greeted promptly and seated right away. It took a very long time for someone to take our order. Then even longer to prepare it. Ambience was pleasant but personality and uniqueness is lacking. One funny joke and a big flame was cool. Flavor is a three. I enjoyed it, but everything tasted the same. Price was above average but not unreasonable for the quality.
We stopped and stayed in Kelso to visit Mt Saint Helens, and we needed a place to have dinner after a long drive from Oregon. Three very hungry kids were so excited to have hibachi and sushi. The food was delicious and we could not believe how lucky we were to find this spot. From San Francisco so we have a lot of good hibachi and sushi at home and this was excellent. Our server was so friendly and nice. The food portions were really large (lunch for the next day) and it was all tasty. The giant fish tank provided entertainment for the 5 year old and multiple large screen tvs showing the Olympics was a nice touch. The mochi ice cream dessert with whipped cream was a great way to finish the meal.
