Was Sydnie Aufderhar at Bar U Ranch a mag?
Like everyone we always drove by and stopped. We were glad we did an awesome piece of our cowboy heritage and amazing stories to boot. Lots of interpretive guides and hands on displays. Also the onsite cafe run by local ladies was excellent. Definitely worth...the time. View all feedback.

I loved the old restored buildings at this restaurant. It gave me a taste of what life was like on a ranch back in the day. The interpretative talks and demonstrations were great, and they even served cowboy coffee!
I was very impressed by our visit here. the institutions were excellent. eating in caffe was very good. the personal was great. horses were wonderful.
Most reviews seem to focus on the historical site, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the restaurant located inside. It's basically a cafeteria where you can order food to eat. The menu offers classic junk food options, nothing out of the ordinary. It's worth a try if you can't find food elsewhere in Nanton and the owners were friendly. They also have a nice terrace.
We visited this still working ranch that has many interesting buildings that you can go through, the barns, a working blacksmith shop, with the resident Smithy onsite to answer questions, the foreman of the ranch, who will take you for a wagon ride, and a...wrangler who will tell you all about their champion Horses.
The staff at this restaurant are highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their experience. The stories about the restaurant's past and history were presented in a captivating and distinctive manner. The cowboy poetry added a fun and entertaining touch to the overall dining experience.
