Sizzler Restaurant - Longview

We went to my mother's birthday in the law. The man at the counter spoke too fast, was super pushy with the add-ons, we were for a salad bar that I know I said NO too. My mother-in-law is 86 and when we were asked about the senior discount, we were told that it was already excited and they would give us a loan for the next time. Lol. We spent 135.00 and it was far from Sizzler quality. My shrimps were fatty, my medium was rare. My mother-in-law was cold and she had difficulty cutting her steak, it was so hard. The only good things were potatoes baked and the salad bar and even the Bleu cheese dressing had no taste what ever. That was so disappointing and we will not return.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was so good in the past, service was great, the place glittered clean, waiting staff was right on everything but NOT MORE! Salad, hot dishes and dessert bars were incorrigible, not tidy. The Clam Chowder was as thin as water, the cheese sauce also seemed diluted. The carpets are dirty, like the outer landscapes, overgrown, full of weeds and garbage. Shame! I enjoy her salad bar. The man behind the register was not friendly, and to make things worse, he has an older couple in accordance with us who were very obviously seniors overloaded. When the lady came back to ask why they didn't get the higher price, he said because you didn't ask. He said he couldn't refund the overloaded amount. Really? They were at least 80, I would appreciate, and they must ask for the higher price!! I was horrified and because the AND as filthy was the place, I am not back.

Had the salad bar. Everything you can eat for $12.99. Skip the cheese bread. It's not very cheesy. The Clam Chowder was good. Pasta cold and all hanging together, sauce from a can. Taco Bar is fine. I hoped more.

The salad bar was good. I ordered the sirloin, I have no idea what that cut is that was on my plate. It was over cooked.

I was tired after reading the reviews. Wow, I was surprised. I was greeted with a smile and offered cake... that was my first time I ate at Sizzles and I have no complaints. The price seems high only if not compared with an average bill in a restaurant. I spent 43 dollars and could choose what I wanted. The hostess was extremely friendly and kept rolling the plates. Everything was super hot and tasteful. I'll come back.
