I've been looking forward to dining here for quite some time, and after several attempts to book a table, I finally made an early reservation for Mother's Day.... read more I've been looking forward to dining here for quite some time, and after several attempts to book a table, I finally made an early reservation for Mother's Day. It was pure joy to discover that they offered a carvery! At first glance, you might not think it's the safest choice, but the staff, including the friendly owners and hardworking women, are dedicated to providing a delightful lunch that is both tasty and plentiful. Keep in mind that this is a local pub, not a chain restaurant, and I believe it offers outstanding service and great food. The only downside for some (including my husband) is that there are no tragic desserts. The ice cream options looked incredibly appealing, but my husband was disappointed. However, for me, that was a blessing in disguise!

The dining experience was excellent; the filet steak was cooked to perfection. The landlady and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the evening, and the full English breakfast the next morning was excellent. Our room was clean, tidy, warm, and the bed was comfortable. We also appreciated the printed instructions for the television—it was very handy. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely return on our next visit!
