Royal - Longhope

I absolutely loved the fish and chips! I hope this quality continues in the future. The food was great, and the welcoming atmosphere was a nice touch.

A fantastic hotel with an amazing host! We had a wonderful wedding celebration. Alan truly made it special.

Alan and Sabine are fantastic hosts who greet you with a warm welcome. They offer a great selection of whisky, and the open coal fire adds a cozy touch. Sabine’s homemade fish and chips are cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious! We ended up returning for a second night to enjoy them again. This is a wonderful place to stop for food and drinks if you’re visiting Hoy, or you can choose to stay in one of their lovely bedrooms with stunning views.

August in the Orkney Islands, so a fire burned in the grate! Alan is friendly and welcoming behind the bar. Then came the fish and chips, cooked by Sabine, which were absolutely delicious. A friendly atmosphere and well worth visiting.

Called in at lunchtime before visiting the Lifeboat Museum. They have recently started offering fish and chips at lunch and teatime. It was excellent quality and they were extremely friendly. I highly recommend this (but only if you like fish and chips, they have only one meal available).
