This cafe is a wonderful place to hang out and relax, especially on a cold day when the cafe is warm and cozy. The minimalist decor and beautiful display of pastries add to the charm of the place. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, depending on the weather. Unfortunately, I had to wait in line and was accidentally skipped by one of the two cashiers – one was at the actual cashier station and the other was... View all feedback.
I thoroughly enjoyed the waffle at this restaurant! It was topped with Greek yogurt, granola, fresh berries, and syrup, and had a perfect texture (soft on the inside, golden and crispy on the outside). The location is charming, situated right by the LIC waterfront.
This coffee shop in NYC is one of my favorites. I enjoy their cold brew, vanilla lattes, and delicious pastries, especially the almond croissants. I've tried their avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burrito, which were all amazing. The friendly staff works hard during busy hours. However, I suggest they stop using wooden forks and knives as they are not sharp enough to cut hard bread crust and make every bite taste like a popsicle stick.
Amazing lowkey Mediterranean brunch spot with huge portions. I love the sabich bowl (eggplant)! Their coffee is very tasty as well. I’ve brought different groups of friends here and everyone has been extremely happy
Nice location of two that are near each other; right near the park and waterfront! I walked by and smelled fresh pastries being baked and it smelled amazing so I had to stop in in try. I was happy to find this cafe was open late comparatively, into the evening which was exciting. This bakery and cafe is styled so nicely inside! I was really blown away by the atmosphere and the wonderful music selection they had playing. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable to my questions about the products (which you’d be surprised how many people are just showing up and know little about what they’re serving) so that also was nice. I got some pastries and some coffee and the coffee was pretty good. More of a medium with a chalkiness like cafe bustello ; which if you like is the style I got served. I prefer it more dark with less of that grit but it was good. It’s really a nice store to sit in and recharge between moving spaces. My friend got mushroom tarts to take home and raves about them; buys them in the multiples! So definitely would recommend them. Good croissants too and the waffles. It’s a nice spot with also a nice, very stylish, and VERY clean bathroom which is always worth an extra star and worth mentioning. 6/5 for that. Great cafe! Assorted croissants like everything croissant and churro croissant , as well as cake pops too! Check them out!
Whenever I want to have brunch in Long Island City , I go to Black star Bakery and cafe, because they’re the best. Even though they have indoor and outdoor seating, i just love taking my food and eat it by the waterfront with the perfect view of New York City. My fave in their menu is the the second avocado toast with gluten free bread+ egg. So good! I also like their coffee they use Oslo coffee roasters which is awesome so oat milk latter for me. If you want more food options (bowls, sandwiches, pitas… , I would suggest trying to other branch that is on Vernon street.
