In fairness to this bento box, it is so good! One of our favorites to order from DoorDash these days. And with a reasonable price. The only problem we had was we cannot really differentiate the pork katsu from chicken katsu but not a big deal. View all feedback.
What Michelle D doesn't like about The Goban:
Placed order at 8:09pm. Got order confirmation text and then waited for 45 mins for text to confirm locker number only to find out they were closed. Even though on Yelp it says they close at 9pm. Extremely disappointed as our other food came out and got cold. View all feedback.
Goblin on that Goban. Drop everything you're doing and order from this local restaurant now. You'll thank me as soon as you take your first bite! I will never forget my first meal at The Goban.. or my second and third. I ordered the Honey Fried Chicken bowl for delivery, and I'm still drooling over this entree. The chicken was crispy, like a perfectly breaded katsu. The meat was also tender and melts in your mouth. I opted in for a half rice/half salad bowl, topped with pickled radish, cabbage, and freshly steamed broccoli. Everything about this meal was tasty, light, and fresh. Leaving me energized yet full. My only complaint is that both the sauces and salad substitute were an up-charge. I'm a firm believer that if you're paying $10+ at least one sauce should be complimentary. I take my sauces very seriously.
I ordered the pork katsu with cheese, and they forgot the cheese.
The food is soooooooo good! I think this was around $16 for 3 proteins; bulgogi beef, pork katsu, and Korean fried chicken, and I added a fried egg for $1.50. It also came with 4 different banchan sides. The food was wrapped like a Christmas present. The only con is the description said it came with gyoza but I did not receive any gyoza. It's enough food but the description shouldn't be misleading.
I ordered the supreme combo box on DoorDash. The food was packaged so nicely inside a box. The vegetables were cooked really well. Out of the meats, the bulgogi and the tonkatsu were my favorite. I loved how crunchy the tonkatsu was! My only gripe is that I wish there was more sauce, but I'm known to drench my meat with sauces. I would definitely order from here again.
Delicious, fresh, and cheap. The presentation is so appealing. Try it! You won't be disappointed.
