This was my first visit, and it was just average. The servers were nice and friendly—no complaints there. The macaroni with Hot Cheetos and fried chicken was quite good, while the gumbo was just okay. The drinks were decent, but I felt the prices were on the high side (a piece of fried chicken costs $8). The NY strip was quite dry, and my beer was flat. Unfortunately, my favorite drink, the Southerner, wasn't available on the menu.
The atmosphere was cozy with outstanding dinner service. The drinks were superb, and the food was spot on. I highly recommend this place to anyone nearby. I'm excited to try their brunch on my next visit!
The food is fantastic and made from scratch. I also appreciated that they offered a menu for dogs.
