Description

Perched atop the Adrift Hotel in Long Beach, this restaurant offers stunning ocean views that elevate the dining experience. Guests praise the flavorful and generous portions, with standout dishes like Brussels sprouts, clam chowder, and seafood prepared fresh. The warm, inviting atmosphere, enhanced by twinkle lights and welcoming staff, makes it a memorable spot. However, service quality varies, with some guests noting slow or inattentive staff and occasional issues with dish clearance. Noise levels can be high due to guest conversations. While prices are on the higher side, many find the combination of food, view, and ambiance worth the visit.

This place looked really cute. We stayed at the Inn At Discovery Bay and ordered out from the Pickled Fish because it was so close. My husband and I both ordered the burger medium well and they were both burnt. The burger toppings were fresh and quality and it had a lot of potential. The fries tasted old and double fried. The Mac and cheese was decent but barely warm. The Caesar salad tasted and looked like a bare minimum salad package from the grocery store. I’m disappointed because I automatically tipped 20% on an order to go and the food wasn’t even hot.

At 5 pm we called to see if they did take out. They said wait 2 hours. 2 hours later we still were told not yet. At 8:30 pm we called again and told not yet. We called another half hour later or so we already have waited almost 3 hours now. Last call we were told not yet and maybe not at all if it stays this busy well! That really is inconsiderate all other restraints are now closed. I will never go there nor recomend this place to anyone. they are too busy for any kind of customer service common sense.

I’ve never been moved to pick up my phone and review a restaurant based solely on the quality of the fries. That ended today when I ordered the fish and chips from here. These fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. They are definitely made in house, not right off the Sysco truck. They have a crunchy herb coating and a pillowy interior. Served with a large helping of well fried rock fish and a side of homemade tarter sauce, which normally I’m not a fan of (give me a bottle of Heinz’s malt vinegar any day), but theirs was awesome!
