Louisiana Pico Fish - Long Beach

This is my favorite Fish market in Long Beach. I have been eating here for years. Their greens are good AF.

My go-to spot for fillets of sole and chicken nuggets. I love the fact that the chicken nuggets are from the breast of the chicken and not the kind like McDonald's. Jose the cook has been there for decades and I will always ask him to cook my food. This is the place to grab a bite to eat when in Long Beach.

First off, the food was fantastic! Pretty sparce place but what matters is the food. Ordered cat fish, shrimp, hush puppies and fries. Be prepared to wait as the food is cooked fresh to order. Since this was my first time, we had to wait 15 mins. Next time will definitely order in advance.

I've only been here once and don't have a reason to take away any stars. I called ahead to order 30 piece shrimp and fries. She said 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and my order was ready. I was pleasantly surprised because this was Friday at 6:30 pm. Parking was not an issue. I parked right in the front. The shrimp were delicious. I don't like my shrimp fried hard. These were nice and tender. I plan on returning.
