Boathouse On The Bay - Long Beach

We want to shout out to Alberto, who worked tirelessly and always had a smile on his face. Our server, Chewy, was exceptional this evening. We used to frequent the Boathouse and while our previous server is no longer there, we were delighted to meet Chewy tonight. Despite being busy, Chewy made sure to check on us regularly. It was refreshing to find someone so attentive and natural with their service. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning more often. Thank you for everything you do. We also want to thank the owner, John, who is always present and friendly. We are definitely fans of this place! -Lorraine

The sushi at this restaurant is incredibly fresh and delicious. Initially, I found the service to be slow, but after I mentioned it to the host, we were well taken care of. In the end, the experience was so good that it left me speechless.

This restaurant is charming, but I believe they are understaffed. We waited an hour and 20 minutes to be seated at a table by the water on the terrace. By the time we were seated, we were so hungry that we didn't mind the distance from the water. We enjoyed the live music and atmosphere, but when we finally received our tacos and sushi rolls after another hour of waiting, we were disappointed. The tacos were cold and bland, and the sushi roll we received was not what we had ordered. Because I have a shellfish allergy, I had to send it back. After waiting a long time for a new roll, we decided to just cancel part of our order. This place would probably be better on a quieter weeknight with a reservation, rather than a busy Saturday night.

Great vibes. friendly staff. good food. live band in the night. the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day on the beach.

First time here, this is our kind of place!!! Jose is a thoughtful bartender, we tried the crunchy tuna roll yellow tail tuna sashimi. Jose recommended the white sangria.
