What Hilbert Nicolas doesn't like about Mt Whitney Restaurant:
I stopped here for a quick bite. the service here is terrible to say at least. there are literally two underground inexperienced children who serve orders and eat. eating takes 45 minutes to get out of a slow day. eating is mixed and old. portions are decent. the prices are ok. would not recommend this place to a friend View all feedback.
Great restaurant! eating was excellent? service was friendly and attentive. ask
Definitiw overpriced to tear visitors in this small town. the service was pretty bad and the food was already cold when we could get it out.

My mother had said the burgers here were very memorable before, but they seemed pretty mediocre this time I suppose. Also none of the staff were wearing masks, and during the Omicron surge, it doesn’t seem like it would be that hard. They were quite nice though.
This place was advertised as the Best Burgers in Lone Pine, CA. First let me say there are very few restaurants and the Carl’s Jr. fast food burgers were better… Party of 4 we all ordered burgers. I ordered a blue cheese burger, my husband ordered a double bison burger, one daughter a regular burger, and the other a double elk burger.. I would like to mention that our server was really nice but he didn’t know much about the food or menu. For being the best burgers, I expected fresh burgers. These were definitely frozen Pattie’s and they tasted like it… They were edible but for a regular burger $15.. It was an additional $4 for specialty meat per patty. Both my adult daughters got a piece of chocolate cake which they said was good but nothing special.. We spent $100 for 4 burgers and very plain fries… In my opinion, skip this and go to Carl Jrs and save some money. To top it off, there were dogs in the restaurant.. They were not service dogs but large golden retriever type dogs.. They just kept barking.. First why are they allowed in the restaurant, 2 if they have to be there for whatever reason please bring dogs who won’t bark the whole time.
