good place for take out or delivery. It also has lunch specials for under $10. I especially like their wonton soup where there are plump pieces of meat in the wontons. General tao chicken is delicious as well. A family run restaurant with competetive prices. View all feedback.

To start of, I am a university student who is tight on money and therefore I am not able to order delivery often. Thankfully, my father lent me $20 and I was saving this money for the perfect time to order food. My first mistake was that I decided to order from a place that I have never tried before, rather than somewhere I have tried and knew I would enjoy. I am a huge lover of Chinese food so I searched for a place with fairly good reviews and came across Macau Chinese Restaurant. I ordered my two favourite dishes, that I was craving very much - pan fried pork dumplings, and sesame chicken. My order took about an hour to arrive which was fine, but what was most definitely not fine was what i found inside. For starters, my sesame chicken WAS NOT SESAME CHICKEN AT ALL, IN FACT IT WAS SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN. TO TOP THAT OFF, IT WASNT EVEN GOOD SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN, IT WAS MUSHY AND COLD. Second, my peanut sauce that i requested with my dumplings TASTED LIKE PEANUT SAUCE WITH A MIXTURE OF ORANGE JUICE AND COW URINE. So here I am now, starving, upset and I have just lost the money that I was saving ON A MEAL THAT QUITE FRANKLY SHOULD NOT EVEN BE SERVED IN PRISON. To end this review I would just like to say, please my fellow Chinese food lovers, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Biggest mistake of my life. - Only bright side was that my driver was quite friendly :)

I would for sure go back for a great meal but if that waiter is still there I would walk out to another place right away. FIND NEW HELP HES Ruinning a great food experience.
We ordered on Christmas day so we expected a wait. We ordered on Just Eat so the ordering was easy. They predicted an hour for delivery but it was more like 1.75 hours. Good portion sizes but SO BLAND. There was virtually no taste to the beef chow mien, the seafood dish we got was overcooked, so very mushy. We ordered steamed dumplings and got fried ones, and there was no streamed rice in the order. I've never ordered Chinese takeout (totalling over 70 bucks) without getting at least a little steamed rice included. Not my best Chinese food experience for sure.

We tried to order Chinese food from "Just Eats" without success. One place changed business hours - the other was closed and not at that location and finally we found the Macau in a plaza where there were more vacant store fronts than stores. The food was fresh and hot but be warned, the Szechuan is very hot. They are located off Wilkins which is a short drive away from the Best Western Lamplighter but honestly, the in house restaurant is amazing as well.
