Was craving some Indian food away from home. This place let me travel entire India through my tongue. Simple yet on point with its spices and Masala. Would definitely recommend this place to every one who wants to try out an Indian cuisine View all feedback.
What Ryan Chapman doesn't like about Woodlands Marylebone:
South Indian vegetarian eating is my comfort eating. it is the kitchen in which I grew up and it is the one that I almost always doubt. every time I visit london, I try to come here. except the last two times. we were constantly denied, even though tables were free from the owner who looks like a mix of chigurh from no country for old men and vinod khanna. Imagine telling someone they are not willing, but since they are physically bigger than they can 't throw them out so that they suggest, hey back in some time, but hopefully as never because we are busy reeely. leaves a strong taste. eating is not really bad. You have to go in first. I would not recommend the...more
One of the bad experiences in london. this place lies in the heart of london. the personal that served us seemed to be Indian origin, but wanted to be more brittle than even brittle. he was absolutely rude and arrogant. if these people do not want people from india to eat at their place, they can put a board outside. surprises that they still survive because eating was nothing good to write. the masala idli was like stone and the sambar was very sweet.
One of the most horrible places for Indian food. The quality of the food was so bad that it does not even deserve a mention. Further, the service was poor where the manager was more interested in chatting with his waitresses. Never ever going there again!
Good food, authentic taste, fantastic place to eat out with family and friends. I had a great experience however what did bother me though was the manager at woodlands on Sunday 17th. He was so rude to the girl serving us and to this lady who was walking aided by her assistant and a stick. She was trying to go to the restroom and cause woodlands Marylebone doesn't have a wheelchair access toilet she had to climb a few stairs! With much difficulty due to her condition she was trying to do this and her assistant and grandchild were helping. This manager in a slightly loud stern tone asked them to close the toilet door, asked her assistant grandchild to leave the area. I was appalled at...read more
Have been here twice. First visit at 6.30 in the evening. Service was good. Masala dosai was lovely, as was the sambar. Not a very generous serve of coconut chutney though. Second visit we arrived at 6pm. Other patrons arrived at the same time. We were all still waiting for our food 45 minutes later. Dosa was again very nice. Mix up with second dish though we didn't mention it. For the type of food I feel it's overpriced. I'm wondering if they are having trouble finding staff?
