Contribute FeedbackVOC in King's Cross offers a trendy atmosphere with fantastic cocktails and delicious crispy squid. While some feel the prices are high for the portion sizes, others rave about the international tapas influence and excellent food quality. The bar exudes a library-like ambiance, attracting a lively crowd and churning out top-notch cocktails. The smoked cheese burger stands out as a must-try. Overall, despite some areas needing improvement, VOC remains relevant and contemporary, with the potential to elevate from a dive bar to a fantastic establishment with a fresh direction.
The voc restaurant and the bar are a stylish, intimate room that serves sensational innovative cocktails/punch and a tastefully merciful little dish menu. after the Vereenigde Oost Indian, more widespread than the Dutch East India company; voc is a cozy, welcoming, casual place. We had pissed off from the crispy hat, as it felt like something we could just get anywhere else, but our waitress asked us to order it, and we were so glad that it did. crispy, tenderly broken, delicious little bites of the sky. at the end of our meal we all ignored the reasons and ordered another!
Great steaks, nice cocktails I had. it was strong and different. bartenders have sometimes set up a show when they get the flaming cockroaches. beautiful everywhere.
I have the habit of losing myself in london at the moment (mostly thanks, or perhaps not thanks to citymapper – the latest navigation attempted to find voc grill in King’s cross. I met my buddy charlotte I met a year ago when she made the pr for barbers cheese. people who like cheese are always good people I finally found the bar and restaurant - it was removed in an inn next to camino, unfortunately not very well signposted, unless I was just silly. but then charlotte encountered the exact same problem, so maybe it's not just me!
The King’s Cross area is completely unrecognisable to how it was a few years back. The whole station has been redeveloped. Fried chicken shops are being replaced by trendy restaurants, along with luxury hotels popping up and a wealth of cocktails wine bars have opened their doors. VOC, located in the gorgeous Varnishers Yard was one of the first to jump onto the trend here and I remember attending the launch a few years back when I wrote for another publication. It was buzzing, the cocktails were fab and the food not bad. A few years on and it still retains a lot of the same. The cocktails are still very good, in fact better. The place has a fantastic atmosphere in the bar area and...read more
