It is a cliché, repeated so often (mainly by Northerners) that it has almost become an accepted fact, that there are no decent fish and chip shops in London. This is rubbish of course; there are some good fish and chip shops, there are just lots and lots of very bad ones. But there are also lots and lots of very bad restaurants of all kinds, and just because there's a Bella Pasta on every road in the West End doesn't... View all feedback.
What Arthur Ward doesn't like about Two Brothers Fish Restaurant:
as others have said, it used to be a good restaurant. I remember taking customers there for lunch. you had to book. that's history. I fought with woman for lunch because I was looking for somewhere where I could have both oysters and doversoles. the oysters were served on an oyster plate without crushed ice. they were warm. not a proper vinaiigrette, but an industrial bottle tabasco. the doversol was both overcooked... Friday night and the take out line was super busy! Always a good sign.
Potential to do much better than it is doing for its setting. Horrible horrible take away fish and chips, scampi, from it's take away place next door.
Gave a second chance but this time was worst , won't come back again , never , it was horrible , even couldn't finish my food and I complaint to the manager
The Two Brothers Fish Restaurant on Regent's Park Road in Finchley is a small fish and chips establishment that also offers a variety of grilled fish and seafood dishes. Our group of eight ordered a mix of fish and chips and grilled fish. I tried both and found them to be well-cooked, with a crispy outer layer and juicy interior. The cod I tried was particularly delicious, with a subtle ale flavor that paired perfectly with lemon/lime and a dash of Tabasco. The service was good, although the staff could have been more cheerful. Overall, a worthwhile visit. If you're not in the mood to dine in, takeout is also an option.
This fish and chip restaurant is always bustling with customers, with tables placed very closely together. Despite the tight spacing, the restaurant is run efficiently. Just be sure to check that it is open on days when fishing is not allowed.
