Cool place with a massive beer garden. Really good selection of food and pizza. Ingredients seem of quality as well. Went for a pit stop pint and shared a pizza and a portion of triple cooked fries. The only thing I didn’t like (despite it said on the menu) was the tomato sauce with the Salsiccia and Friarielli pizza as I think it’s a pizza that needs a white base (as per tradition).. Went on a Sunday. Typically you expect to wait longer on Sunday service. But it would be better customer service to be told that food will take an hour. Food was good but not exceptional. If something is within the description of the menu item please ensure it is on the plate/bowl. Overall good place. View all feedback.
This pub is super close to the Goldsmiths campus, so it was an ideal choice for dinner the first night here as a student.
Welllllllll I've just found my new local Sunday evening, the need for a walk and talk with Alex, we walked and talked and stumbled across the Rose.
This review is for the other food items on the menu (not pizza).
I live in the borough and have always passed this bar, at the bus stop opposite new cross gate station, its like an oasis in the side, they do not expect it to be as beautiful as it is my friend visited and suggested that we go, the eating was great with great portions, the ambiente and the mood was relaxed, the staff was attentive and friendly overall a great time. I would definitely go back.
Great pub, nice atmosphere, we went for a Sunday roast and it was one of the best we had. the staff is very friendly and service excellent.
