The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a pint while taking in views of the river. The menu offers a variety of options including fish and chips, steak, club sandwiches, and interesting pizzas. While some reviewers found the prices a bit high, others felt it was reasonable considering the location. The restaurant offers a new order and pay-at-table method, but some experienced delays in receiving their drinks. Overall, the pub received praise for its quality food, good service, and cozy ambiance. It's a hidden gem in the heart of London that is worth a visit for a great meal with a view of the river.
A beautiful pub on the thames with a great view. as you almost feel like you are on a ship and sail down the river. the classic decor, the plots of old woodwork and the floor has changed little in the course of the years, although some renovations have taken place. was a regular work in the upper thems in the early 1970s and it was nice to be back after years. the atmosphere is warm welcoming and very informative as with most pubs. closed at the weekend it is usually office goers. enjoy their caught guiness while standing on the balcony, with views of the river or chitchat with the barmen while sitting on the polished bar. many selection of cocktails and crying, but its better known for...read more
A wonderful restaurant with views of the themse and opposite the globe theatre. pity that it is not open at the weekend, as it would be nice to go after a day. Although it is quite expensive (about £5 for beginners and £10 for net,) it is a reasonable price for a meal along the themse. the brushetta is a must for a starter for me and I order in the rule one of the pizzas for the net as they are big and fill.
We tried out the new ordering system where you can order and pay at the table. The ordering and payment process went smoothly, but we didn't receive our drinks after 15 minutes. I had to go to the bar to inquire about our order, but the staff didn't even check the receipt. I ended up having to get the drinks myself. Unfortunately, I made a request on the app that I wanted to take back, but it wasn't possible to do so. There was also no apology for the inconvenience. The atmosphere at the bar was lively and loud. The cocktails were well-made but seemed to be watered down with excessive ice. The Elderflower spray we ordered had a very faint taste. We recommend sticking to beer or cider instead.
Rubbish, every time the same problem, had to wait 40 min for someone to tell us there's a technical problem! this place will never change CRAP CRAP CRAP!!
We all had a delicious meal at The Pepys. A really nice venue and lovely food. the staff were helpful with our varied food issues!
