On our first day in London visiting our son, his wife, and their new baby, we took them to lunch at the local pub in Wimbledon, The Fox and Grapes. We enjoyed two bottles of Gobelsburger Gruner Veltliner Dry 2010 LössTerrassen Kamptal from Austria. For starters, we had avocado prawn cocktail for £9.50 ($18), foie gras and grape terrine with date purée toast for £6.00 ($11.40), and a charcuterie platter for £12.50 ($23.75). A great discovery during the hot days of August. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to the team at Fox Grapes for excellent service and delicious food. The steak was cooked perfectly to order, and the haddock was a generous portion. The burgers were also top-notch.
