While some were disappointed with the average food quality, lackluster service, and long wait times, others praised the reasonable prices and delicious dishes. The diverse menu offerings and friendly staff were highlights for many guests. Overall, opinions varied on the dining experience at this establishment, with some recommending it for its authentic flavors and welcoming ambiance, while others advised looking for alternative options in the area.
They prepared me for a dinner to take. When I pointed out to the gentleman that I had asked to eat on the spot, he spoke to me in an unpleasant way. With regard to food, it was not at all to my taste, I hardly ate anything... The nan cheese was just a nan, no cheese... In short, bad experience, I will certainly not return. I don't recommend it either.
The food was ok.. the baji 's semosa 's certainly frozen and the chicken tandor was not cooked in a tandoor and was not even red... When we asked to order we received a grunt from the one waiter struggling to service the one of the only other 2 parties in the restaurant.. when we asked another he barked 'when I am ready ' ... when they he eventually came back he popped his head round the corner and goes 'what? '. The chicken was pale in the chicken tikka but the sauce and the nan 's good. The Chicken Pathia (ordered Medium) came as a lamb pathia and was incredibly hot. The kitchen can order one set of meals at a time so do not order after a party and be expected to wait your turn... 'The oldest curry house in putney ' should extend their mantra; 'And we haven 't changed a bit ' if the service staff don 't change this place will not be here much longer
Dined at short notice in Saturday, in the sunshine on the front terrace and was very impressed. Dinner of this standard for two with drinks for £60 brilliant.
Number one, this place is the cleanest restaurant i've been to! The food is tasty and the staff so friendly. We had a great meal and it was worth every penny.
Found this on our first night in London! Wow, it was so good! Requested the red lentils to be a little spicy, they were excellent. Had sag paneer, coconut rice, and a lamb dish in a cashew sauce. Garlic naan was delicious. Everything seemed to be made fresh, not a quick serve but worth the wait. Every time we walk past, it appears empty, such a shame people are missing out on an extraordinary meal! We highly recommend it.
