Reception hurried us up the stairs to the table but the restaurant was clean with great views of the river thames. The table was beautifully laid out but a tad small to accommodate tiered stands x4 and teapots x4 so eating was awkward. The food was nice and allergies were catered for very well. The pulled irish beef burger was underwhelming and it needed something like a slice of tomato/lettuce/cheese and the stilton... View all feedback.
What Paul N doesn't like about Swan At The Globe:
Had high expectations as beautiful space and menu and reviews lead you to expect more. I went for Sunday roast and wont do that again. It was poorly platted with very little gravy very little flavor. I had to ask twice if it came with other veg. When they brought some it was very roughly steamed carrots broccoli and cauliflower. If you can look for another option that has more care put into the meal. View all feedback.
Great location, whatever the weather. The kind of pub you can lose a few hours in. Can't remember the name of the brew we drank but I wish I could. Really enjoyed my fish and chips. If we'd had more time I would have moved onto the **** Mary's after seeing the table next door order a few.
An unplanned trip to The Swan to grab lunch while walking along the Thames. A welcoming interior with cosy booths as well as long tables and relaxing coffee areas. Attentive and friendly staff. The fish and chips was great as was the pulled beef sandwich. Certainly worth a visit although I imagine it's very busy when the weather is good or before a show at the Globe.
Had a pleasant afternoon at the Swan. We had afternoon tea, as part of a voucher deal and the food was quite good. Tye interior is light and bright, with views beautiful over the River Thames. The staff was polite and welcoming and we were seated immediately. We went for a savoury and sweet afternoon tea each. The savoury is quite large but also quite delicious (pic below). We left feeling quite full. Would like to visit again for just a regular meal as most bit if the tea were quite nice.

Friendly staff and great scones. Also nice atmosphere in the establishment. Gave three stars only because we had to wait a very long time for our first round of drinks (I had practically already finished my scones by that time). For the second round of drinks they forgot to put our order in so it again took a long time.
