Being in London weekly, I get the opportunity to sample many restaurants. Strand Tandoori is my go to for Indian food. Their curry selection is robust and the service is attentive yet not overbearing. The dining setting is intimate and cozy. King prawns with the Phall (extreme heat) curry, Butter Chicken and garlic Naan were cooked and seasoned well. The staff here are lovely and will return soon. Cheers! View all feedback.
What Brigitte Grenz doesn't like about Strand Tandoori:
Dreadful food that one of our party was unable to eat. Hapless staff try their best but are a bit hit and miss. Clientele was tacky and loud at Christmas they were drunk and festive so it may not be the usual crowd. Unfortunately I was embarrassed to have taken my international guests there. View all feedback.
Bedford and Strand is a hidden gem. You'd never realise it was there, until someone in the know takes you. It's well-located, at the foot of Covent Garden, close to the theatres in the Strand and Charing Cross station. It's lively (positively noisy at times), with interesting food: good choices between bar snacks and full meals, and a nice winelist.
We had a great meal at Bedford Strand. Really great food and the atmosphere was lively.
Really nice French basement bistro perfect for pre show Valentines date. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Good food and service and very casual, discreet space and ambience.
Great as ever and we will be back very soon. Nice staff and tasty food.
