The vibe here is a delightful mix of Italian and English. When the service is good, it's excellent, but when it's lacking, it tends to be distinctly British—meaning you might wait a good 30 minutes before you see your waiter again. Good luck if you're hoping for a glass of grappa in the meantime! Despite this, the restaurant has a warm atmosphere, the people are friendly, and as I mentioned, the food is truly fantast... What User doesn't like about San Pietro Italiano:
awfully booked arrived 5 minutes early stood expected at the door as it seemed that they gave our table away so that we were finally shown up to eat on our own pizzas soggy base lack taste View all feedback.
Food, decor and presentation were excellent. However staff were sarcastic and quite rude. Unknowingly that myself and friends spoke an understood Italian they were caught trying about to speak badly about us. They kept avoiding us as much as possible afterward. So would have had more drinks and dessert however the staff behaviour wasn’t worth paying for. Having had wonderful experiences on prior visits we were left wondering if the restaurant has been taken over by someone new. Wine list was asked for 3 times and never brought and just kept reciting cocktails from memory that they sold. So would have gone back for food again but sadly the attitude of the staff decreases the value of eating at the restaurant.
Amazing local family run place. oysters were amazing love it and will go again
Great restaurant, great service, great food. Good to be back inside. Thank you for looking after us.
Absolutely my favourite Italian neighborhood restaurant we have been visiting since the lockdown for socially distanced dine in meals and takeaway. The owner and staff always remember us and have great recommendations for menu selections. Also their menu changes everyday so there's always something new and exciting to try.
Fabulous food Burrata and palma ham was a joy to eat
