A few months back I availed a 50% off offer from Massala Hut. But it was not the offer that caught my attraction but the great food and its sublime taste. If you want to taste authentic Indian foods in London, try Massala Hut. View all feedback.
What Karlie Phillips doesn't like about Massala Hut:
when a close friend of mine came from Malaysia and he suggested to go for an Indian meal, drummond street came into the senses. the drummond street is located directly behind the railway station euston and has many Indian restaurants. this is the hat has been recently renovated. the decor is dark wood furniture against a white flowing floor. the chairs were quite funky with their room age as frames. there was a TV sc... This restaurant was closed and we had to find another nearby where there is a wealth of Indian restaurants.
Nice food, bit overpriced but good with opentable voucher. Lots of choice and interesting regional specialities.
We came here for our group Christmas meal, as a party of 21, so it was never going to be perfect. The table was not fully laid when we arrived, and we needed to ask for cutlery. They forgot one person's drink. They did not have the range of beers listed on their website. Getting tap water was not easy. They assured me that it would only take about 20 minutes to cook the food if we had everyone's order together when we arrived (which we did). It was about 20 minutes after we had all finished our poppadoms before the main dishes arrived, which was not how I interpretted what they had said. The toilets had not been cleaned that morning. The first person to use the toilets from our party had to find the lights themselves. The food was good, but it took a long time for them to get everyone's meals to the table. The only positive was that they gave us 50% off the food bill, so the bill was very reasonable.
Table booked, came to find it closed, very embarrassing!
Very disappointed. My guests and I made the trip despite the rain just to find out that the restaurant was closed for renovations. Management should have informed Open Table about it before. We landed in a restaurant right next to him.
