40 Maltby Street is a London Institution. The menus are varied and well thought through, the service is excellent, the wine is interesting and they're dog friendly. What more could you want for a fabulous evening out?!.
What Louise Meloy doesn't like about Maltby Street Market:
Overpriced wines for the low quality. 12.5£ for a too young and acid Chardonnay from Australia is just a no! 9£ for three slices of coppa, come on! Revise your menu. Staff is also not welcoming. View all feedback.
Nice local market that my friend brought me to it. Good mood and good food! I came on a Sunday at 11:00 and it wasn't crowded. I'll take some food...
A hidden jewel on the other side of the tower bridge! After a few trips to london and a few walk around my friends favorite local only street food market, I...
I loved this crowded street market that goes for a few blocks along the trains. I think most outdoor providers are just on weekends so...
I absolutely recommend you to go to this place. The environment is so relaxed and cozy, I might be biased as I love the locals created just underneath the railway bridges. The bricks provide an absolutely authentic decoration, however you can find many similar places in London, but anyway, they are lovely! The service was excellent, so friendly and quick, and they are opened to provide you with wine suggestions depending on your taste and food. Additionally it’s guided mainly by women. The was fantastic, so creative and tasteful including perfect combinations of flavors and textures. And they have a long list of wines from the main wine regions of the world. Unfortunately the glass options are quite limited. But, a good point is that they are changing the food and glass wine offerings daily. Amazing place! The only negative point that is a bit expensive, but even though, worthy to taste.
Lovely food, lovely wine, lovely staff the vanilla parfait was so good I wished I wasn't sharing.
