However, the atmosphere, history, and location make it a worthwhile visit for some. Some diners have had positive experiences with well-prepared steaks, tasty burgers, and Sunday roasts, as well as attentive service. The establishment, located near Wimbledon and the Cricket field, has a historic appeal for fans of cricket. The menu is limited but offers good options like curry dishes and fish and chips. In conclusion, the experience at this posh pub seems to vary from visit to visit.
The restaurant is conveniently located near the cricket ground, making it a great spot for a drink. However, I must say that I cannot recommend the food.
I have visited this restaurant a few times, but I have been disappointed each time. The only enjoyable aspect is the beer. If you do not drink alcohol, the coffee is lacking in quality and the food is not very appealing. However, the atmosphere and history of the place are both good.
The staff at this restaurant were very friendly. It wasn't too crowded when we visited as we were watching a county game, but they were still very helpful. We enjoyed the haddock and chips, which were excellent. The portions were generous and the chips were also very good. Overall, it was a great experience for a restaurant located in central London and near a sporting venue.
Had the Cream Tea option after my Lords tour. Yum, and real tea in a pot
Must visit if you are going to Lord's. Nice food and ales. Excellent service from the staff
