Although the original street food menu is no longer available, the delicious pad Thai and green curry remain standouts, despite a slight price premium. The buzzing ambiance can feel cramped during peak hours, yet it adds to the lively charm. While vegan options are limited, with some flexibility for customization, the overall experience is enhanced by friendly staff and a curated selection of beers, making it a worthwhile spot for both dining and casual outings.
Used to come here every Friday night for work drinks after a week in the office. The bar is unique in its design and atmosphere. Great selection of beers and the way the open plan inside bar merges into the outdoor area is really cool. It can get very busy on a Friday evening but it’s a good friendly crowd and security management have everything under control.
Really friendly bar with great staff and good selection of drinks. I didn't try the food but it looked good. Maybe next time.
Excellent bar. One of my favourites in South London. Have been coming here for a few years now and staff have always been very accommodating and helpful. Cosy atmosphere and a great range of drinks and cocktails. They also serve some of the most fairly priced and incredible Thai food you'll find in London the 3 starter combo deal is a must try! They tend to show some of the bigger football games too.
A good spot to return to for casual lunch, as it serves Johnny Rice food you pay a fiver (or so), then get a pick of various curries, rice and noodles. Food is delicious but food, drink and prawn crackers will easily set you back a tenner or so for lunch. Ambiance of the pub is nice and it 's a good spot for afterwork drinks too. Not so massively rammed as to make the wait to be served frustrating.
TLDR; surprisingly good Thai food but was a tad expensive and cramped Came here on a Friday night and the place was rammed. The dining and bar area bleed into each other and so did the music and conversations. It was really difficult to have a conversation at one point. Generally the place felt a bit too cramped for a sit down meal. The thai food was surprisingly good and authentic. The pad thai in particular was the highlight. You can feel the “fire” and intensity it was cooked with. The curry and calamari were decent but a little salty. It was a little on the expensive side £13 for a curry) which can be justified for some dishes like the Pad Thai.
