What a lovely restaurant! The owner, the waiter, and the lady in the kitchen were all very friendly and welcoming. The owner shared interesting facts about British customs, which made for delightful conversation. My mother's coffee was great, and my peppermint tea was amazing. The scones with cream and jam (cream first!) were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this place! View all feedback.

We were in search of a traditional breakfast at a café rather than a chain restaurant. Upon entering the café, we were welcomed right away. The waitress promptly came to take our drink orders and then gave us plenty of time to decide on our meals. One member of our party inquired about gluten-free options, and there was a great variety to choose from. We ordered a traditional breakfast, a ham and cheese omelette with beans, a speck with ciabatta, and roasted tomatoes with toast. All the food was served hot and was very delicious. It’s also worth mentioning that the coffee was excellent.
The restaurant offers generous portions and an impressive variety of dishes. There's an amusing backstory involving a lost elephant. Although there aren't any vegan options on the menu, it's possible to request dishes without eggs. The veggie sausages are tasty, but they could use a bit more flavor to truly stand out.
Very friendly service and very good food. the waiter saw how I read the menu on the street and invited me. I had a nice breakfast with a whistle, a french toast. the food came fast and everything was on the square. tables on the road, inside and down, plus a terrace back. great place for a small local meal.
May 2019: cafe has changed ownership. Staff are friendly and professional and drinks are good. Will update when have eaten here again. 2018: Love this cafe opposite Camden Stables Market. Warm and friendly owner and bright decor, wallpapered with show and theatre posters. The breakfasts we had were delicious, the bubble squeak especially, and for 3 of us there was a big shared plate of toast and communal bowl of baked beans, fab!
