The restaurant focuses on British cuisine using fresh seasonal ingredients, with highlights like game and mushrooms during autumn. The atmosphere is described as a neighborhood spot with friendly and knowledgeable service. Dishes like quail and red leg partridge are cooked simply but perfectly, while the braised roe shoulder stands out as a comforting favorite. The dining room is praised for its bright and airy feel, adding to the overall experience. With excellent service and delicious dishes like the lamb rump and wild rabbit, Hereford Road is a must-visit for seasonal British cuisine in London.
Been here once before but unfortunately couldn't get a table for dinner, next day I went back for lunch and I was one of the first in for lunch service! I
Delicious food. Good service. Original menu. This was our second visit. Very glad we came back.
The lunch is so good! surprising how cheap it for the service they offer, quality of the food and beautiful relaxed atmosphere. recommend in any case
Hereford road is on my list for yonks! when there is a place that is at the top of my “muss go list” it is st. john. so with the former chef chef of st. john helming hereford road it immediately woke my interest. but for a suburban panda there was rarely a chance for me to dare to notting hill gate, but I was always tried by their set-lunch deal. Instead, we decided to make the trip on a quiet Tuesday night, where the relaxed but comfortable setting and friendly waiting staff seemed rather neighboring and local than zone 1.
Hereford Road is a classic spot in the neighbourhood of Notting Hill serving top-quality British cuisine. The restaurant has succeeded in maintaining a high reputation which led it to earn a spot on my to-go list. Luckily, it wasn't too difficult to make a reservation so I headed there with MRG for dinner. The restaurant is nicely situated on a quiet high street in a predominantly residential area (not too far from the Ledbury); it's kind of like the neighbourhood's best kept secret!
