We had a great time but dishes were inconsistent We came to the Connaught for Friday lunch and we had a great time but a lot of dishes were not up to mark. Butter and bread were delicious (how do you make the butter look like sea urchins?! The service was impeccable. Venison steak tartare was very nice but I’ve had better steak tartares in London (Hide or Trinity . The fish dish was lovely. Desserts were nice but for... View all feedback.
What Alexa Hughes doesn't like about Hélène Darroze at the Connaught:
we've been so disappointed by the food. it was great; but was it great at the price and was it 3 stars big? compared to the refinement of quay in sydney or the innovation of fat duck back the day, I am not sure. the staff was ok, but not as helpful as expected. happy to pay good for 3 stars, obviously, just not sure it is there. The culinary experience was impeccable from beginning to end. each detail has been designed and perfectly executed. the staff was attentive and informative and that was what they would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. amazing.
That was a wonderful experience. claudia was so inviting. all staff were so friendly and helpful. the kitchen tour was a wonderful bonus. the food and the wine were truly spectacular. beautiful environment and ambiente. one of the top food experiences we've ever had.
Excellent location, excellent staff, absolutely phenomenal eating and a selection of non-alcoholic weeping for the reformed drinker, would thoroughly recommend

Myself and a friend have been doing the rounds with michellin star restaurants this will definitely be in our top few favourites. We were led into a charming little nook that was very private. The service was extremely good efficient but also majority of staff were willing to have little chats and seemed appreciate humour. Every dish was fine art carefully plated and tasted amazing, we had been to sketch a couple of weeks before which was also a three star but they are poles are apart with this restaurant being a very clear winner. We were extremely honoured to be given a walk through the kitchens which added to the experience. Utterly delightful would love to come again.
