We had a great time but dishes were inconsistent We came to the Connaught for Friday lunch and we had a great time but a lot of dishes were not up to mark. Venison steak tartare was very nice but I’ve had better steak tartares in London (Hide or Trinity . The fish dish was lovely. Desserts were nice but for... View all feedback.
What Alexa Hughes doesn't like about Hélène Darroze at the Connaught:
we've been so disappointed by the food. it was great; but was it great at the price and was it 3 stars big? compared to the refinement of quay in sydney or the innovation of fat duck back the day, I am not sure. the staff was ok, but not as helpful as expected. happy to pay good for 3 stars, obviously, just not sure it is there. Nice enough but very expensive for the overall food and experience
They didn’t let me in and said they don’t see my reservation on their system !!
I ordered Sakura Wagyu Steak and Asparagus as a side dish. It took more than 60 minutes to get the steak and guess what? They forgot the side dish!!
Grossly overpriced. One would expect something special for what one has to pay. Inner seating offers no creative ambience. Wine list rather of snob value. Barely any choices below £1000.
Good food and nice staff. They bring various types of bread to choose from in a nice basket. The ambiance was not out of the ordinary, very quiet, not much going on.
